Kailyn Rae Lowry, born on the 14th of March 1992, is an American realty television personality and author, famously known for her appearances in the TV shows “16 & Pregnant” and “Teen Mom 2”.

So how much is Lowry’s net worth? As of 2017, the mother of two’s reported wealth is $80,000, gained mostly from her television show appearances and the sales of her books.

Growing up in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Lowry did not have a fashionable home or a desirable childhood, as her mom was an alcoholic and her father was not present while she was growing up. At the early age of 16, during her senior year, she became pregnant to her then boyfriend Jo Rivera, and that was when MTV approached Lowry to be featured in the second season of their documentary series “16 & Pregnant”.

Lowry slowly rose to fame, gaining sympathy from audiences because of her struggle to raise her first born Isaac Elliot Rivera. The show featured how her mother refused to help her raise her child, forcing Lowry to move out of their house and live with Rivera. She later tried to trace her father for some help, unfortunately the man refused to lend a hand as well. Lowry later ended her relationship with Rivera, and began working while studying for a degree on-line and raising their son.

In 2010, Lowry was once again approached by MTV to join the cast of the second season of their reality show “Teen Mom”. The show follows Lowry, along with other teen mothers Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, and Leah Messer as they face the early years of being a mother at such a young age, along with juggling other commitments and relationships.

The show included Lowry’s struggle to live and raise her son on her own, while facing custody battles against her ex-boyfriend. The show’s success also meant the same for Lowry, gaining her popularity and adding more to her net worth.

Later on in the show, Lowry met her now husband Javi Marroquin. The two got engaged and married in 2012, before Marroquin’s left for the US Air Force. In November of 2013 they welcomed their son Lincoln Marshall. Fans started rooting for Lowry because of her strong personality, how she was able to pull herself up without any support from her parents and eventually from her ex-boyfriend.

In 2014, Lowry released her autobiographical book “Pride over Pity”. In the memoir, Lowry shared her hidden past, when she was sexually molested at an early age and even had an abortion.
